Australian Star Wars fan club conceived by Shane Morrissey in June 1987, and officially launched on October 14, 1988.

In 1989, Star Walking held an event they called simply "The Convention". However, the advertising material was headed "Star Walking: The Convention". So, it was widely known by that name. A convention report by Karen Pender in Bizarre 5 has been transcribed here at history.sf.org.au.

The convention was also known as Stair Walking with reference to the hotel's only elevator having broken down. There were program items on both the fifth floor and the ground floor.

A second convention, "The Second Convention" (or "Star Walking II") was held at the Townhouse Hotel on the three days of the Queen's Birthday long weekend in June 1993.

Club Website 1988
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
