Phoenix was the newsletter of the Science Fiction Association of Victoria which was begun in 1979; it combined with From the Ashes in February 1982 to become "PHOENIX & FTA" and then "FTA/Phoenix" in Dec. 1982. This zine ended in December 1983. Two revival issues came out in 1985 and 1986. Garth Spencer was editor in the 1980s.
