William Olaf Stapledon, known as Olaf Stapledon, was a British philosopher and author of influential works of SF.
He is remembered today primarily for his early SF novels: Last and First Men (1930), Last Men in London (1932), Odd John (1935), and Star Maker (1937). He was an honorary member of the Science Fiction Association (SFA).
