Pete Ackroyd was a UK fan active in the 1950s. He attended Mancon in 1952 where he appears in a photo with Eric Bentcliffe, Terry Jeeves and others, but sadly that is the limit of our knowledge about him. Nice as it would be to imagine that this is the author Peter Ackroyd (Wikipedia), that seems implausible as the author was born in 1949 and the pictured individual standing next to Bentcliffe is clearly older than 13, even allowing for the widely held belief that People Looked Older In Those Days.
