Australian Science Fiction Review was a fanzine published between 1966 and 1969 by John Bangsund in Kingston, ACT, Australia which was later renamed Scythrop. It was later revived (under the title "Australian Science Fiction Review") by a group of others, see below.

First Series[edit]

It was nominated for the 1967 Best Fanzine Hugo and the 1968 Best Fanzine Hugo.

In 1969, the first year that the Ditmar Awards were first presented, the Australian Science Fiction Review won the Ditmar Award for Best Australian Amateur Publication or Fanzine.

Second Series[edit]

In 1986, Australian Science Fiction Review was revived by The Science Fiction Collective aka the Melbourne Collective (possibly also known as the ASFR Cooperative): Jenny Blackford, Russell Blackford, John Foyster, Yvonne Rousseau and Lucy Sussex.

In 1991, the second series of ASFR won the Ditmar Award for Best Fanzine.
