William Harry, aka BHarry, was a teenaged Liverpool fan in the 1950s. He corresponded with Michael Moorcock and published the apazine Biped for OMPA. A fanartist, he was art editor for Ploy. He was a member of the Liverpool Science Fiction Society.

In the mundane world, he is known for his deep involvement in British pop music as founder of the music paper Mersey Beat. He attended Liverpool's Junior School of Art, and later, the Liverpool College of Art, where his fellow students included John Lennon. Harry is the author of 13 books on the Beatles. He was the publicist for many musicians, including Pink Floyd, the Beach Boys, Led Zepplin, Jethro Tull, and David Bowie.
