Bob Boyer is a retired teacher of English, an authority on medieval literature, and an editor of anthologies of fantasy stories. He was born in Philadelphia and for thirty-six years taught English at St. Norbert College in Northeastern Wisconsin.
His edited anthologies include The Fantastic Imagination: An Anthology of High Fantasy (1978), with Kenneth J. Zahorski; Fantasy Literature (1979), with Marshall B. Tymn and Kenneth J. Zahorski; and Fantasists on Fantasy (1984), with Kenneth J. Zahorski.
