The 2006 TAFF race was westbound from Europe to North America. The winner was Bridget Bradshaw and she attended LAcon IV in Los Angeles, the 2006 Worldcon. Other candidates were Arthur Cruttenden and Michael Rennie
To promote the race, European administrator James Bacon in conjunction with others staged plokta.con pi on 27 May 2006, the last day of voting. All three candidates attended the event in London and votes were counted at the end of the evening, liaising with Suzanne Tompkins, the US administrator, by phone.
