The Petrified Planet is an anthology of 3 original SF stories, edited by Fletcher Pratt and published by Twayne in 1952.
It was the first in a series of planned "Twayne Triplets," "a series of books to be produced by the 'joint efforts' of a scientist and a trio of writers." The scenarios for the stories were created by John D. Clark, a rocket propellant chemist who was a fan with deep ties to the SF prodom of the time.
No further editions of the anthology were issued, although the stories were later republished.
