Robert Jordan was the pseudonym of author James Oliver Rigney, Jr.
He used the Robert Jordan pen name for fantasy novels, including his bestselling "The Wheel of Time" series, for which he is best known. He also wrote historical fiction as Reagan O'Neal, and westerns as Jackson O'Reilly.
