Baycon '98 was held May 22–25, 1998 at the San Jose DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose, CA. The theme was "Alternate Universes and Other Possibilities". Author GoH was S. M. Stirling, Artist GoH was Alicia Austin, Fan GoH was Michael Siladi, and Toastmaster was Lillian Csernica. Chair was Craige Howlett. Attendance was 1773 members.
