A "gloomy" hall at 358 Morris Ave, Newark, NJ which was the site of many early conventions and fan gatherings. In spite of its limitations, the space was attractive because there was a bar downstairs and the proprietor rented the meeting place for a pittance ($3!) to any group that might be likely to patronize his liquid refreshments before and after.
