Philip E. Kaveny is a longtime Wisconsin fan and academic, based in Eau Claire. He is active in the Mythopoeic Society and was a founder of WisCon. He has worked in various roles on Worldcons and other conventions. He was a member of apasition.
He has been married to fellow fan Jan Bogstad since August 7, 1987. They ran the SFRA Conference in 1996 and edited the collection Picturing Tolkien: Essays on Peter Jackson's the Lord of the Rings Film Trilogy (2011).
He was a huckster and an online book dealer.
