(???? – )

Alan Gascoigne was a UK fan from Surrey active in the 1940s. He attended the Eastercon in 1944 and was a member of the Cosmos Club.

He seems to have been a subscriber to Futurian War Digest from about 1941 (his sub was noted as expiring in March 1942) and from 1942 was signed up to receive material from the British Science-Fiction War Relief Society. He was described as a newcomer at the 1944 Eastercon but he'd seemingly been involved with the Cosmos Club since at least May 1943.

He doesn't seem to be in evidence after Easter 1944 and in the 1945 Directory of Anglo-Fandom he is categorised as 'not in touch at the present moment'.

In Checkpoint 48 (1974), Syd Bounds says that he "committed suicide some years ago".
