David MacDonald, a New York fan, published Metrofan beginning in 1957 and the one-shot fanzine Macdonald's Folly in June, 1958.
He was a member of the Lunarians and director of the New York Science Fiction Circle. The Science Fiction Club of New York met in his basement.
