Fillo, a scientificombination of filler and illo, refers to a drawing used to make a fanzine page visually more interesting, and break up the text, but that doesn't illustrate the article it accompanies. Often cartoons, fillos are typically used to fill up white space at the end of articles.
Rotsler was greatly revered by faneds for his prolific production of fillos.
