Chair of World Fantasy Convention 2004, World Horror Convention in 2004, Westercon 62 (Fiestacon) in 2009, and Vice-Chair of Sasquan in 2015. Chair of the unsuccessful Phoenix in 2014 bid for the 2014 NASFiC, and proposed Convention Co-chair for the unsuccessful New Orleans in 2018 Worldcon bid.
He served as a board member of the Arizona fandom organization LepreCon, Inc. for nearly 30 years, starting in 1988. He has also served on the WSFS Mark Protection Committee and the Worldcon Runner's Guide Editorial Committee.
