(???? – )

A. A. J. 'Tony' Young was a UK fan from Whitstable active in the 1940s. He attended the Whitcon of 1948. He was probably a member of the British Fantasy Library (BFL) and was a member of the Science Fantasy Society (SFS).

In Pamphrey #3 Walt Willis mentions receiving the BFL's Booklist of April 1948 which said that Tony Young would be including a 'sheet' with the next mailing, presumably a rider in the style of Fido's Litter. It's unclear whether this appeared.

At the Whitcon, Young sketched a number of the attendees and these are included the Whitconzine. He also contributed cartoons to Operation Fantast #4, his work signed 'TonYoung'. The same issue reported him working on an Astounding index 'which we hope to get produced before 1949'. It's unclear here whether the 'we' is the British Fantasy Library, Operation Fantast, or an editorial 'we' from Ken Slater, or indeed whether said list ever appeared.
