(December 17, 1921 –)
Phyllis Berg (née King), a Baltiwash fan, was a longtime member of WSFA. She served numerous terms as a trustee from 1951–71, as well a stint as treasurer, 1954–56, and hosted many meetings at her home. The Bergs started hosting WSFA’s Third Fridays at their home in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland, in 1974.
Her husband, Bill (whom she met at the club and married in 1953), and daughter, Betty, were also WSFAns. “The three of them were permanent fixtures; main stays,” recalled Chick Derry (WSFA Journal, May 1984).
