Penelope Miller Frierson, an Alabama conrunning fan, found fandom in 1968. She co-chaired ConFederation, the 1986 Worldcon and was part of the Atlanta in '86 and Atlanta in '95 Worldcon bids. She chaired DeepSouthCon 15 as well as working on numerous Worldcons and regionals. She was one of the founders of the Birmingham Science Fiction Club.
She was married to Meade Frierson, with whom she collaborated in her fanwriting. They were members of Myriad, RAPS, and SFPA.
