Ed Cox, nicknamed Edco, was a longtime LA fan, member of N3F, LASFS, the ISL, The Petards, and other SF clubs. At one time, he was on the N3F Board of Directors and a member of the Activity Party.
He was born in the Cambridge, MA area and moved to Maine in his teens where he discovered fandom. He was a serious collector and joined the N3F. He moved to Los Angeles and lived in the slanshack Telekinetic Terrace, drove the Green Hornet, and helped to try to form MAPA. He was one of the inventors of Roscoe. He ran for TAFF in 1968. He was one of the original members of CAPA. He was married to fellow fan Anne Cox.
