Eastercon 17, Yarcon, was held at the Royal Hotel in Great Yarmouth, UK over Easter 1966. The GoH was Ron Whiting. The committee was Dave Barber, Ken F. Slater, Steve Oakey, Phil Rogers, Archie Mercer, and Beryl Mercer.
At this convention, Eastercon voted to disassociate itself from the BSFA under whose nominal umbrella it had been running. Brian Aldiss, Harry Harrison, Dave Barber and Michael Rosenblum were inducted into the Order of St. Fantony. The Doc Weir Award was presented to Ken Slater.
