Congrès Boréal

A French language convention that moves to different locations in the province of Quebec, Canada every year.

While most of the programming and activities are in French, some are in English and the convention has had English speaking GoHs.

It was first held at the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi in 1979. In the 1980s., it was often held in conjunction with a "Salon du livre" (a book fair). It did not take place from 1990 to 1994; when it resumed, for several years in the late 90s, it was held in conjunction with Con*Cept.

The Prix Boréal are voted on by the members of the convention and are usually awarded at the end of the convention.
